The weekend of June 24-26 was more special than usual as appreciative guests gathered to celebrate Denis and his 10th anniversary as owner and innkeeper

The weather was wonderful and so was the atmosphere!

In addition to all the usual Follansbee amenities to enjoy the start of the summer season, from Friday check-in through Sunday, the celebration weekend was replete with festivities to commemorate the occasion, including discounted room pricing, Follansbee Inn history presentation, anniversary cake and coffee, a catered breakfast by Blue Loon Bakery, craft beer tasting at Henniker Brewing Company, 3-course dinner at the Coach House Restaurant at New London Inn, and—of course—Denis’s own New Orleans-inspired hot, homemade breakfast buffet on Sunday morning.

Thank you to all of the wonderful guests who joined us for the 10-year anniversary weekend, and to everyone who sent congratulation notes. I was very moved by how thoughtful the guests of Follansbee are, though I was not at all surprised. I see it every time you visit – how you know and enjoy the inn, how you interact with the other guests, especially the first-timers who learn from you how to enjoy the many wonderful aspects of Follansbee, and how you are always so helpful to me.

You are not only key to the success of the inn, your thoughtfulness is what allows me to enjoy life as an innkeeper.
