Follansbee Inn is conveniently located near the Mt. Kearsarge, Mt. Sunapee and Ragged Mountain ski areas.

As powdery snow turns New Hampshire hiking trails into a winter playground and the region around Follansbee Inn begins to freeze the forests and mountains become a wonderland, for winter fun. The same beautiful summer hiking trails are now even more serene with a layer of fresh snow. It’s the perfect time to explore the snowy paths to stunning views, icy waterfalls, and streams. Return to our charming lakefront bed and breakfast after an invigorating day in the snow to relax by the Inn’s cozy and comfortable fireplaces. 

New Hampshire has many ski centers that offer kilometers of trails, equipment rentals and lessons. Beginners and experienced visitors will find trails and classes to fit their abilities while all the centers have their own special views and landscapes to explore. Or, choose to cross-country ski or Nordic ice skate on Kezar Lake.

There are several ski areas in close proximity to our Inn including Mount Sunapee, Ragged Mountain and others but if you don’t want to ski, you are welcome to borrow some snowshoes and hike right from our door. Both Wadleigh State Park and Musterfield Farm provide for great outdoor exercise.
